VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

A LETTER FROM OUR VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Dear Friends and Family of the 2017 Junior National Athletes and Coaches,

Greetings from the staff at the Olympic Cross Country Ski Trails at Mt. Van Hoevenberg in Lake Placid, New York!  We are excited to be hosting the upcoming USSA Cross Country Junior Championships this winter from March 3 - 11.

In order to successfully host safe and fair competitions of such a magnitude, we will need a large number of dedicated volunteers
acting in all capacities from trail marshals to technique controllers.  For many tasks the ability to ski is not required.  However, for those of you who do, it’s a great way to experience our world-class trails.

Besides the usual perks that come with volunteering (coffee and donuts, snacks, lunch, toe warmers, etc), our organizing committee is putting together a package of neat stuff that will truly enhance your visit to Lake Placid!

Please consider being out there with us this March; shoot me an email or give me a call to get added to my volunteer contact list.  I’ll be back in touch with more details of how you can make a difference and be part of this year’s Junior Championships!

Sincerely,

Michael Battisti
